Introduction
This is a blog about how a more or less normal married couple set out to prepare their home and their lives for an Argentinian Black and White Tegu, also called "The Giant Tegu."  This picture is what inspired the name of the blog: topping out at 15 pounds and measuring between 3 and half to almost 5 feet long, you have to think of these lizards in larger pet terms.  And it's equally a big decision.  Can we handle a giant lizard?  Where will it live?  Will our other pets accept a small dinosaur sharing the sunny spot on the carpet with them?  Will our families have us committed?  I can't keep from smiling at the challenges I know are coming... because our third dog is going to be a giant lizard.
